Does it matter if I’ve never done meditation before?

Absolutely not. Most people who try this type of meditation are complete beginners who successfully achieve the desired stillness of mind during their first few sessions. In fact, our research has shown that people with no prior meditation experience seem to achieve the state of mental silence more quickly than those who have practised other techniques. This may seem counterintuitive; however, the difference is probably because it takes time for experienced meditators to disentangle themselves from ingrained habits, to ‘un-learn’.
